Engineering Students Advised To Visit Atal Tunnel
The world’s largest motorable tunnel named Atal Tunnel at the Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh was first inaugurated by PM Modi on October 3, 2020.
In a letter to the Vice Chancellors (VC) and Principals the Secretary of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Professor Rajnish Jain has asked institutes to share details of the Atal tunnel among the students and “encourage them to visit by strictly adhering to the necessary COVID-19 protocols issued by the Central and the state governments”.
In the letter sent by the UGC they quoted the PM saying that the knowledge of the “technological marvel of the country, encompassing the best practices in engineering, design, planning, construction and project management” must be propagated among the engineering students.
