Euthanasia, also known as mercy killing is an act of providing death to an individual suffering from unbearable pain or is terminally ill. The concept is as debatable as it sounds, for people on one side believe 'killing is never an option' whereas some say 'death is better than the misery that those people go through'. The topic emerged again with heated debates, when recently the Dutch government agreed on legalizing euthanasia for children below 12, with mandatory condition of consent from both - the patient & the family. Netherlands is the only country right now that allows euthanasia for the minors. The decision surely ignited mixed emotions all around the globe with raising questions on an individual's right to death/life.
