Ex-Punjab CM Charanjit Channi joins Bharat Jodo Yatra

At the Rajasthan leg

Charanjit Channi recently returned to India after spending a few months abroad. His first order of business was meeting Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and congratulating her for "the party's historic victory in Himachal Pradesh polls in the election". Later, he also met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

Amid the ongoing political tussle between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, Rahul Gandhi held a closed-door meeting with the two leaders on Monday at a circuit house in Alwar. After the meeting was over, Rahul Gandhi told news reporters that 'good news would come soon', news agency ANI reported.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which was launched on September 7 in Kanyakumari, has traversed Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and now, is in Rajasthan.

The yatra will enter Delhi on December 24 and after a break of about eight days straight, it will move on to Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and finally, Jammu and Kashmir.
