Ex- Tamil Congress Leader Khusbhu Sundar Joins BJP On Monday

Congress Leader Khubhu Sundar joined BJP on Monday, Cong. says " no damage caused".


Chennai: The actor turned politician Khusbhu Sundar joined hands with the opposition BJP on Monday 12th October just before the Tamil Nadu polls. She was known to be the most crucial defender or supporter of the National Congress.

She wrote in her resignation letter to the prominent Cong. President Sonia Gandhi felt "pushed and suppressed" by people who had no connect with ground reality.

The 50-year-old ex Cong. Leader Khusbhu also wrote that some elements seated at a higher level within the party, Those who have no connectivity with the ground reality or public recognition are dictating terms and a hardworking person like me who wanted to work for the party sincerely, are being pushed and suppressed.

Sundar said that it's been a long thorough thought process over some time have decided to end my allies with the party. Even before the letter emerged, Congress had dropped her as the spokesperson. The party said her exit would have created no damage in Tamil Nadu.

The Leader expressed her feelings after joining the BJP party that she feels if the nation has to move forward, then we need somebody like Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take the country in the right direction.

According to the sources, Khusbhu can be a great acquisition in the southern state that remains largely out of its grasp for a BJP.

She has tied her allies with National Congress since 2014, almost for six years.

The 50-years-old leader was the Congress's visible face in TV debates, Khusbhu Sundar's political career was seen to have stagnated, with the party out of power since 2014.
