Executive Lounge Launched At New Delhi Railway Station

Passengers would have to pay an entry fee of 150 rupees plus tax for the first hour and 99 rupees for each extra hour.


To provide world-class comfort to tourists, Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) inaugurated a state-of-the-art executive Lounge at New Delhi Railway Station on Thursday.

The Executive Lounge which is an innovative idea located on the first floor of Platform 1 of New Delhi Railway Station is designed to imitate the unique style of a train journey.

The lounge, open to all passengers, is equipped with a variety of services and facilities including train schedule screens, WiFi, TV, drinks and buffets, recliners, spacious luggage racks, bathrooms with shower and changing table, shoe shiners, newspapers and magazines on display and a fully functional business centre with computer, printer, camera and fax for all passengers.

To highlight the spacious floor plan of the room, Rail Secretary Ashwini Vaishnaw posted photos of the boardroom area with the hashtag #NayeBharatKaNayaStation.

As per the IRCTC PR officer, Anand Kumar Jha, to access this newly opened executive lounge, passengers would have to pay an entry fee of 150 rupees plus tax for the first hour and 99 rupees for each extra hour.
