Explosion at firecracker factory in Andhra Pradesh, 3 Dead

CM announces Rs. 10 lakh Aid…


On Thursday night, 10 November 2022, at least three people were killed and another was injured after a huge explosion at a firecracker manufacturing centre in Kadiyadda village of Tadepalligudem mandal in AP's West Godavari district.

Ravi Prakash, SP, West Godavari district, said, "A total of eight people worked at the factory who returned home at 5pm in the evening. The explosion took place when they had stepped out for dinner."

The incident happened between 8pm and 8.20pm on Thursday. 3 people were killed, 1 injured and 1 is untraceable, said SP.

From the initial investigation, it appears that the explosion might have taken place after the firecrackers caught fire, he added.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed shock and grief over the death of 3 people and also announced an immediate compensation of Rs. 10 lakh to the kin of the deceased.

CM also asked officials to ensure the injured are given the best treatment. Officials were ordered to take appropriate relief measures in the area where this incident happened.
