On Wednesday, Auto journalist Suvil Susvirkar died in a road accident, the TVS Motor Company said in a statement.

The incident occurred on the route to Kaza in Himachal Pradesh, which has been devastated by heavy rain and landslides.

TVS released a statement expressing deep pain over the incident.

"Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and loved ones in this difficult time of grief," it said.

TVS stated that Susvirkar was provided immediate medical support by a doctor in a mobile ambulance that was part of the convoy. But he succumbed to his injuries.

TVS has not told further details about the conditions and situations leading up to the accident.

However, the post suggests that the accident happened during a ride organised by the company.

Suvil Susvirkar was a principal correspondent at BikeWale. His last Instagram post, dated August 16, showed him biking along the Narkanda-Kalpa route in Himachal Pradesh.

The news of Susvirkar's untimely demise has left everyone in shock throughout the motorcycling community.

As the news of the accident spread, messages of condolences and tributes started in tonnes on social media.

"We understand the pain and grief that this tragedy has brought and stand united with each other during this difficult time,” TVS said.
