Farmer's protest: Few metro gates closed, vehicular movement affected in Delhi

Today has been marked as Black Day over completion of one year of protests against the three farm laws.


The farmers' protest completed one year on Friday. Farmers have been protesting at the borders of Delhi for one year. Farmers across several states have been unitedly demanding the Central Government to repeal the three farm laws. 

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday closed the entry and exit gates of the metro station in view of security over the farmers' agitation. It said, "Entry and exit for Pandit Shree Ram Sharma and Bahadurgarh City have been closed."

Whereas the traffic movement has also been disturbed. According to the statement given by the traffic police, "Both the routes of the Jharoda Kalan border will remain closed due to protest." Whereas the Pusa roundabout traffic going towards Shankar road has also been diverted.

Today, September 17 has been marked as "Black Day" on completion of one year of protests. Today the protest will be held from Delhi's Gurudwara Rakabganj to the Parliament, requesting the repeal of the three farm laws by the Central Government.
