Farmers head towards Delhi in large numbers to protest against farm laws

Farmers from several states have been protesting against the three farm laws for more than a year during which many even lost their lives.


Farmers across the country have been protesting for more than a year against the three farm laws implemented by the Central Government. Meanwhile, a large number of farmers are heading towards the Delhi border to protest against the three laws.

Whereas after several rounds of talks with the Centre which resulted in no concrete conclusion, the farmer's leaders have said that they will intensify their agitation in the coming days to put more pressure on the government and mobilise support from the public.

As per the statement given by BKU leader, Rakesh Tikait, "The protest will continue till the Government does not agree to farmers' demands and repeal the laws. Till then, we would not leave the Delhi border no matter how long it takes. We will fight till our last breath. They will have to tell us who is more dear to them, the farmer or the corporates."  He also said farmers would not get the benefit until laws guaranteeing MSP are introduced.
