The Jharkhand High Court quashed the case against Nishikant Dubey and Manoj Tiwari
On 13 March 2023, the Jharkhand High Court put down a FIR filed in Kunda police station against the BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey and Manoj Tiwari allegedly for forcing the air traffic control (ATC) to provide the clearance to their flight beyond the schedule on August 31, 2022, from the Deogarh Airport.
The case stated that the incident was against the security protocols maintained by the airports. It was heard by the bench of justice headed by Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, who quashed the FIR after hearing the counselor of Nishikant Dubey, as he mentioned that the flight was delayed and as per the aviation rule, a flight can take off half an hour after sunset. He also mentioned the time of the sunset, which was 6:03 p.m., while the flight took off at 6:17 p.m. under the aviation rules.
