Fire Erupts in Two Coaches of Patalkot Express Train in Agra

No casualties...


A fire happened in two train carriages of the Patalkot Express (train number 14624) that was going from Firozpur in Punjab to Seoni in Madhya Pradesh.

This occurred near Bhadai railway station in Agra, as the news agency ANI reported.

Indian Railways stated that smoke was detected on the Patalkot Express train between Agra and Dholpur. The smoke was seen in the GS coach, which is the 4th coach from the engine.

The train was stopped, and the affected coach was disconnected, with no injuries reported.

As of now, there have been no reports of casualties, according to Prashasti Srivastava, the Agra Railway Division PRO. The express train operates between Firozpur Cantonment in Punjab and Seoni in Madhya Pradesh.

The fire started in the 4th coach following the engine at 3:45 pm after the train departed from Agra station, as per information from a railway source. The train was stopped, and the affected coach was evacuated, as reported by the source to news agency PTI.

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. The affected coach has been disconnected from the train, as reported by the source.
