Five Gunmen Loot Bank

Robbery By Five Armed Men


On Tuesday evening, December 15, 2020, Five gunman looted Rs. 58 lakh from Indian Overseas Bank  in Agra's Rohta area. According to the Agra police, this incident happened when one of bank employees came outside of the bank's ATM branch where he was held by 5 armed men who later forced their entry into the bank.

Police added the robbers ran away with Rs.58 lakh case after which the bank staff immediately informed the police. After this incident, a large Police force was dispatched to the bank and all borders of Agra were sealed.Police are unable to trace the whereabouts of the robbers so far but the search against them is still on. Bablu Kumar, SSP of Agra, reached to the bank along with ADG, Ajay Anand, and IG A Satish Ganesh told in India Today that the robbery took place at around 5 p.m. SSP Kumar said, "the Gunman entered the bank and tied up the entire bank staff, then they forced the bank manager to open the bank's strong room where the cash was stored."

Apart from the police of Agra, other police officials in neighbouring districts like Aligarh, Firozabad, Hathras, Dholpur, Mathura and Morena have been alerted with the descriptions of the robbers explained by the bank staffs.An FIR has been registered under IPC Section 391, 392, 395 in the Sadar police station against those five gunmen robbers. Seven police teams of Agra are currently investigating and searching the robbers.
