Rain lashes Delhi -NCR!


The National capital Delhi and the National capital region (NCR) are witnessing incessant rainfall in the areas. After a long span, the capital city gets relaxation from the scorching heat.

 

Witnessing incessant rainfall several parts of Delhi and nearby areas including Gurgaon is witnessing waterlogging issue in the areas. Flight services have also been delayed and diverted after heavy rain and thunderstorms hit Delhi.

 

Not only delay in flight operations and cancellations also the city witnessed a blackout. Families have been struggling with power cuts and water issues.

 

Airlines including Vistara, SpiceJet, and Air India have also announced flight delays due to inclement weather.

 

According to the statement given by the India meteorological department (IMD), it said, intense heatwave conditions are unlikely to hit the national capital at least for another six days, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said.

 

The morning weather conditions were caused due to a western disturbance affecting northwest India. There was moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by strong gusty winds blowing at 80 kmph.

 

According to the weather department, this was the season's first moderate-intensity storm.

 

The weather department has issued a yellow alert for Tuesday and has forecast partly cloudy skies with light rain or thundershower along with gusty winds at the speed of 30-40 kmph.

 

Whereas for Tuesday, The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle around 34 and 19 degrees Celsius today.
