Former AAP Leader Kumar Vishwas Security To Be Reviewed: Govt. Sources

The move came in the wake of Vishwas' allegations against Arvind Kejriwal


Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Poet, Kumar Vishwas's security force are being reviewed after he courted controversy by levelling damaging allegations against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, according to people familiar with the matter.

 

Kumar Vishwas had claimed that AAP national convener was ready to take support from the fringe and separatist elements to become the chief minister of Punjab. 


According to the statement given by the former AAP Leader Kumar Vishwas stated, went on to say that Kejriwal also had his “formula” ready to become the first Prime Minister of an “independent nation”.

 

"One day, he (Kejriwal) told me he would either become the chief minister (of Punjab)...or the first prime minister of an independent nation (Khalistan)," Kumar Vishwas said during an interview.


According to the sources, it said ``The government is reviewing the security of Kumar Vishwas and may give him protection depending on his threat perception after a thorough review and based on intelligence inputs."


Punjab Chief Minister took to Twitter and wrote addressing PM Narendra Modi, "As the chief minister of Punjab, I request Honourable PM Narendra Modi ji to order an impartial inquiry in the matter of Dr. Kumar Vishwas Ji’s video. Politics aside, the people of Punjab have paid a heavy price while fighting separatism. Honourable PM needs to address the worry of every Punjabi."


Ahead of the assembly elections in Punjab. The state will be polling on February 20 and the counting of votes will take place on March 10. Many leaders and politicians are coming up with their statements and remarks.
