Former Bihar minister Subhash Singh passes away

He was admitted to Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).


On Tuesday Morning, Former Bihar minister Subhash Singh passed away. 



As per the information, The BJP MLA had a kidney transplant earlier. According to sources, Subhash Singh was not well and was admitted to Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).



The news of his death comes amidst reports that the cabinet expansion of the Nitish-Tejashwi government will take place on Tuesday, August 16 at 11:30 am.



Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav took to Twitter to express his condolences at the news of Singh's demise.



The four-time BJP MLA from Gopalganj was undergoing treatment at the AIIMS for over a month. "He passed away around 2.40am on Tuesday," Singh’s younger son Aniket, who was at the hospital, told TOI over phone. 



As Singh was admitted at AIIMS for over a month, he did not vote in the presidential election on July 18. He was the only MLA from the Bihar NDA who could not cast his vote in the presidential election.



Singh is survived by his wife, two sons and four daughters. His three daughters are married, a family member told TOI. 

 

Singh's last rites would be performed in Gopalganj, his son Aniket said.
