Former PM Manmohan Singh admitted in AIIMS

As per the hospital sources, the Congress leader is stable and under the observation of doctors.


On Wednesday, former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Hospital in Delhi. Dr Singh was feeling weak and feverish. He had a fever on Monday after which he recovered from it. Later, he complained of weakness and currently is on fluids.

As per the hospital sources, the Congress leader is stable and under the observation of doctors. As per the tweet by AICC secretary Pranav Jha, "There are some unsubstantiated rumours with regard to former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh Ji's health. His condition is stable. He is undergoing routine treatment.  We will share any updates as needed. We thank our friends in the media for their concern," read the tweet.

Meanwhile, recovery and well wishes messages were flooded on social media and many leaders prayed for his quick recovery. Punjab CM Charanjit Singh tweeted, "praying for quick recovery and good health of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh Ji who has been admitted in AIIMS."  Whereas many more leaders from other political parties also wished for his speedy recovery.
