Jaswant Singh died at 84 due to cardiac arrest


Former Union Minister and Ex-Army Officer Major Jaswant Singh Jasol who was known as one of the founders of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has departed his last breath on 27th Sept Sunday. He had a cardiac arrest. Prime Minister Narendra Modi with others gave their condolences.

The 82 years old Politician was suffering from coma since August and treated in Army Hospital(R&R).

 He was an alumnus of Ajmer Mayo College, started his career in the military sooner after that he pursued in politics. He was elected on a BJP ticket to the Rajya Sabha five times and about four years in Lok Sabha.

Late Union Minister was best-known for his friendship with Late Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He with his zeal achieved to be Cabinet minister of various departments as Finance, Defence and External Affairs.

Nation's Prime Minister remembered his service towards the nation and said in his tweet, "Jaswant Singh Ji will be remembered for his unique perspective on matters of politics and society. He also contributed to the strengthening of the BJP. I will always remember our interactions. Condolences to his family and supporters. Om Shanti."

PM added "Jaswant Singh Ji served our nation diligently, first as a soldier and later during his long association with politics. During Atal Ji's Government, he handled crucial portfolios and left a strong mark in the worlds of finance, defence and external affairs. Saddened by his demise."

Delhi Cheif Minister said, "We sad to hear about the demise of Shri Jaswant Singh Ji. He worked for the country all his life, whether inside the govt or outside. May his soul rest in peace."
