Former UP CM Kalyan Singh's health deteriorates, on ventilator, says hospital

The Hospital had earlier said in a bulletin that Mr Singh is on continuous dialysis and his condition is being closely monitored.


Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) Hospital in Lucknow, said on Friday that the condition of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Kalyan Singh has deteriorated and is currently on ventilator. Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Singh is on dialysis as his blood pressure is low and "he is not passing urine normally," said director of the SGPGIMS Hospital, Dr RK Dhiman.

Earlier, Mr Singh's condition had deteriorated in July this year. Following this, he was admitted to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital in Lucknow and later shifted to the ICU of SGPGIMS Hospital on July 4.

he Hospital had earlier said in a bulletin that Mr Singh is on continuous dialysis and his condition is being closely monitored. Since then, several party leaders have met Kalyan Singh, including UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
