Full Emergency Declared At Delhi's IGI Airport

On Tuesday, at Delhi's Indira Gandhi international airport full emergency was declared due to a glitch in a Delhi-bound Air India flight, sources said.

The flight had 180 passengers on board.

In a statement, Air India said, that from Pune-Delhi route its flight AI858 landed on its scheduled time with a minor crack on the aircraft's windshield.

"At Indra Gandhi International Airport for the Air India Delhi flight from Pune, the full emergency was declared on Tuesday at 5.44 pm due to a glitch. "180 passengers were traveling from the aircraft board," the sources said.

"On April 18 Air India flight AI858 safely landed in Delhi, operating from Pune-Delhi, at its scheduled arrival time, with a minor crack on the right (starboard side) of the operating aircraft's windshield," the airline stated.

All passengers and flight crew were safe, it said.

Air India added; the aircraft will undergo the necessary maintenance procedure, and its windshield will be replaced.
