G20 Summit: With exceptions for necessities, delhi police imposes restrictions on delivery services

What activities are permitted?

According to PTI, on September 4, Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) S.S. Yadav presented a list of restrictions on online delivery services in preparation for the impending G-20 Summit.

With the exception of necessary services like postal and medical deliveries, these restrictions will remain in place from September 8 to September 10. According to him, the police's August 25 traffic advice has not changed.

Delivery of critical medical supplies, such as lab results and sample collections, will be allowed all around the city during the summit. Services for ambulances will continue to be provided.

During the G-20 Summit, no commercial activities would be permitted in the New Delhi district, according to Yadav.

With the exception of the Supreme Court metro station, which will be temporarily closed from September 8 to 10, the restrictions will not, however, interfere with the usual operation of metro services in the city.

Gates at stations may be closed for ten to fifteen minutes because of VIP movement and security constraints, according to Yadav.

Starting on the evening of September 7, a graded traffic management plan will be put into place to make it easier for delegates and participants to move around.
