2 accused arrested so far…
On Monday, Police said, two persons, including one home guard, were arrested for raping a 12-year-old girl in Delhi’s Loni area.
They said the two accused sexually assaulted the girl on Saturday.
On Sunday night, the two accused were arrested, Additional Commissioner of Police, Loni, Rajneesh Upadhayay informed.
The 12-year-old girl left her home as she was scolded by her mother for breaking her brother’s cell phone, police said.
She got the cell phone repaired at a mobile shop and boarded an e-rickshaw in which one of the accused was also there, they said.
The accused took the girl to the home guard's residence where they both raped her and also threatened her if she revealed the incident to anyone at home, police said.
The girl narrated the incident to her father who then reached the police, they said.
A case was registered under section 376 D (gang rape) of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against the two accused.
