GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY


15th October is marked as global hand-washing day, this day is dedicated for awareness as well as describes the importance of hand-washing with the use of soap and hand wash, altogether it tells about effective and affordable ways to prevent yourself from disease and infection.

Every year this day is celebrated with a certain theme earlier in 2019 - it was " clean hands for all". This year 2020 with the major hit of covid-19 which has already taught every citizen about the importance of hand-washing and sanitizing regularly.

Previous year campaigns were planned for awareness about hand-washing, This year every human is completely using it, working over the cleaning and sanitizing process. Currently, human life has fully been dependent on these sanitizers and safety equipment due to covid-19.

Almost the population is now aware of the terms like-  germs, virus, an infectious disease which can stick into the human body and hamper lives. Hand-washing has become like a schedule in day to day life.

In 2014, in India,  Madhya Pradesh won the Guinness World record for the most massive hand-washing program, where 1,276,425 children in 51 districts participated in an event.

Global hand-washing day supports the water for the world act, whose main aim is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of that part of the US.

Many competitions, awareness programes were done related to hand-washing day. But this year has itself taught all about safety hygiene, infection and people are well known and habituated into it.
