Google celebrates 25th Birthday today

Here's everything you need to know

Today, Google Doodle releases a special Doodle to celebrate its 25th birthday. Birthdays give people a chance to reflect even though Google is constantly looking forward.

Origin of Google:

Sergey Brin and Larry Page met as PhD students at Stanford University's computer science division in the late 1990s. They discovered that increasing accessibility on the Web was a goal they both shared. They both worked incredibly hard while operating out of their dorm rooms to produce a superior search engine prototype. As the project developed, they relocated to Google's first workplace, a rented garage, where operations were carried out. Google Inc. was formally founded on September 27, 1998.

Many things have changed since that day in 1998, including the Google logo, as can be seen in today's Doodle. But the goal—to organize the world's information and make sure it is accessible to everyone and useful—has persistently stayed the same. Today, billions of people rely on Google for a variety of purposes, including searching, connecting, working, playing, and many others. Except for a few places like Russia, this doodle will be seen all across the world.
