GREEN DELHI APP TO MINIMIZE POLLUTION LEVEL IN DELHI

Amidst the rise in air pollution in the national capital, Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal launched the green Delhi mobile application. This green Delhi application will directly allow citizens to report pollution-causing activities to the Delhi government through this. Citizens can bring pollution causing activity to the government's notice.

Kejriwal said that he wants to involve everyone in the fight against pollution as "no big change can take place without the support of the people and citizens "and can click pictures on making a video of pollution-causing activities like burning of garbage, industrial pollution, dust and many other things and can update or upload on the app.

This application will identify the location of the complaint and will be automatically forwarded to the concerned department for time-bound redressal. Kejriwal said that "we have prepared timelines for each type of complaints the department concerned will also have a post picture after the complaint is addressed. This application is available on Google Play Store and can be downloaded from that place".

Arvind Kejriwal said that we have taken initiatives in the last five years as well following which the pollution has been reduced by 25% we are still taking steps like all the thermal power plants are closed in Delhi, fuel has been changed in 95% of the industries in Delhi now they are using non polluting fuels.

"A Green war room" has been set up at Delhi secretariat to monitor the status of complaints a team of 70 Green marshals will assist their redressal.
