Ayurvedic medicine will be reimbursed...


On 3 February 2023, the Haryana health and AYUSH minister Anil Vij announced that the state government staff will also get the reimbursement for ayurvedic medicine treatment with the addition of allopathic ones.

According to the Anil Vij the government is laying emphasis to promote the use of ayurvedic medicine to give the alternate for the patient to go for treatment and increase the chances to cure. The AYUSH department was given a different identity in a recent cabinet meeting.

Following the announcement, the government also mentioned to include Ayurveda as a subject in MBBS Course in the state. He further added that the state government is making consistent efforts to promote Ayurveda and yoga on a large scale.

To promote the Yoga the government, take a pledge to set up the yogashalas in 6,500 villages of the state. However, 1,000 yogashalas have been built and the rest are underway.

The minister of AYUSH also said that the university in Kurukshetra is already working to promote the Ayurveda as an alternative medicine that includes Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy systems of healthcare and treatment.

Mr. Vij also set up the national institute in Panchkula at a cost of 270 crores and built nearly 250 beds inside the campus.
