Haryana opens schools for classes 9 to 12

Haryana opens schools for classes 9 to 12 from today. It is not mandatory for the students to join school and online classes will continue as before.


Covid-19  had greatly impacted the education system, for more than a year schools, colleges and other educational institutions have been closed and are working in online mode. However some states have been planning to reopen the school for classes 9 -12. From 16 July, schools in Haryana will reopen for classes 9 -12 after witnessing a drop in Covid-19 cases. while the classes will resume from today and the classes for standard 6 to -8 will have to wait till July 23 to come to school, said the spokesperson. 

According to PTI, "schools in Haryana have been instructed to  strictly adhere to all Covid-19 protocols, social distancing and other rules will be applicable for the students coming to the schools."

Meanwhile, students will be joining back their classes with the consent of their parents. It will not be mandatory for the students to join the school and online classes will continue as before. Manohar Lal Khattar said a plan should be made to reopen the educational institutions subject to strict adherence to Covid-19 guidelines, according to his statement, "Given the  decline in the number of Covid-19 cases, a plan should be made to reopen the schools at earliest."

According to the data, Haryana reported 34 new Covid-19 cases on July 15 (Thursday), taking the total caseload 7,69,417.
