Health Minister to review meeting on rising Dengue cases in Delhi

Dengue cases are spreading wings in the Capital city


 On Monday, the Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya will chair a review meeting on rising cases of Dengue in the National Capital. The meeting will be at 10 am, the Minister will discuss the ways on how the centre can assist the Delhi Government in minimizing the Dengue cases.

 

 

 

As per the information, the meeting will also see participation from the officials of the National Centre of Disease Control (NCDC) and the National vector-borne disease control programme(NVBDCP).


 

 

Meanwhile,  the National capital is always in the limelight when it comes to pollution levels, Dengue cases, or it is Covid-19.  The capital city is on the priority list with the worst-hit state. Dengue cases surge in the capital city after the city witnesses heavy showers. The drainage problem is one of the leading reasons for dengue cases. Whereas, The Delhi Government has also implemented several initiatives to curb the spread of dengue and door to door cleanliness campaigns and other smoke vehicles have been running in the capital city.


As per the report, Delhi reported 1,000 cases of Dengue with 280 cases Last week. The total number of cases was 665 in the first 23 days this month. Meanwhile, the first death occurred on October 18 due to this infectious disease.
