Red Alert in Mumbai for next 24 hours: IMD. local trains have been impacted due to heavy rainfall and waterlogging in the city.


Heavy rainfall is being witnessing in few parts of the Country. Mumbai, Delhi as well as Parts of Haryana are receiving heavy rains. Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a "red alert" for Mumbai and other districts in the Konkan region, predicting extremely heavy rainfall at Isola places for the next 24 hours. Whereas neighbouring districts like Thane, Palghar and Raigad districts of Mumbai have been witnessing heavy rain for a few days.

Due to heavy rainfall, few of them were trapped under this and lost their lives due to incessant rainfall in the State. Five members of a family were killed on Monday after a boulder rolled down and crashed on their home in Thane City. Whereas seven people were feared drowned at separate places in Maharashtra. According to the statement, local trains have been impacted due to heavy rainfall and waterlogging in the city.
