How did soldiers react when Sidharth Malhotra dusted off his uniform on set?

Kiara Advani reveals that she had the advantage of visiting Kargil while promoting Shershaah


Kiara Advani recalled what soldiers told Sidharth Malhotra during Shershaah shoot. The film was based on the life of the late Captain Vikram Batra. Shershaah marks Kiara and Sidharth's first film together.

 

The movie Shershaah was Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra’s first movie together. It was based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra who was killed in action during the Kargil War in 1999. The movie was a huge success with both lead actors for their performances.

 

Kiara recalled an incident that happened on the sets of her film Shershaah, when he was shooting in his army uniform. He clean off the dust from his uniform in order to keep the flow. The army officers who were at present during the shooting reminded him that soldiers do not clean the soil from their uniforms since it express the actual soil of their nation.

 

Kiara said that, this experience took her closer to the heart of the film and its themes, allowing her to immerse herself in the emotions and stories that inspired the narrative. Also, Kiara interacted with women jawans patrolling at the outpost and had a special message for a jawan’s daughter.

 

They first met at a Bollywood party where they started talking and getting to know each other. They got closer on the sets of their film and in the end began a relationship, the project is very special for the couple. After that, they made several public presence together and also went on outing to spend some special and quality time.
