I'll work for the Nation till my last breath, I'll will return back home with my body wrapped over the National Flag- Mahesh Katewa

Mahesh Katewa, Army Commando is currently posted in Ladakh. The place is well known for its beauty, chilling weather and its completely covered with borders.

Mahesh says dreaming is easy but achieving your dream is a long story. Originally from Rajasthan Mahesh spent his childhood completely under army environment. From his childhood his father used to motivate him, inspire him, help him do training ,and used to push him for physical exercise. Mahesh spent his childhood in jumping ,running, racing ,climbing.  His parents supported him a lot during this journey. He says he had always seen everyone in "green" which pushed him to go for it.

Talking about the weather of Ladakh, how does he manage his survival there? Mahesh said it's a challenge for us to survive in that chilling weather, managing meals and eating frozen foods are also a big challenge for us. We don't even get water for taking shower, it takes around 2 to 3 days for us to manage water, we are unable to talk to our family for weeks due to an inappropriate networking and posting sites.

Talking about an incident which left a deep impression On Mahesh's life he said he was posted in Chhattisgarh during which naxals used to send local people to army commandos to enquire about their duty and all. Local people were as a mediator for naxals. During which they were posted in the middle of the forest where they didn't have food water, they dig the ground at thirst, filtered the water with a piece of cloth. During that posting,  they had an encounter with a "lady sardar" who was killed by them. After Which they completed the mission which came into the limelight and next day newspapers and television were flooded with this story.

Talking about the Army he says, "yes definitely the Indian Army is something which teaches you discipline. This discipline makes you a perfect human. The Indian army teaches manners, love for the Nation ,and the feeling of sacrifice is one of the greatest things. Everyone should join the Indian army. In fact , crime in India is increasing, I suggest that the discipline will never let a person do the crime which are being done by the youngsters of India".

Talking about his future plan the Commando says," My only aim is to serve the Nation till my last breath. I wish when I die My body would be sent back home by getting wrapped with the National flag. I want peace in India, everyone should fight for their rights. Humanity and peace should be kept alive .
