" I Wanted To Do Something Big or Nothing"

Interaction With Food Vlogger...

Meet, one of the well-known food Vlogger, Chahat Anand. Her mesmerizing food video will make your mouth watery. During the conversation with Chahat, we asked her…

What came to your mind to start content with food?

Chahat replied I have always been a foodie in my entire life. And when I was in college I used to get limited pocket money and my desire to try new cuisines and restaurants made me a food blogger as I could explore new restaurants by collaborating with them.

Chahat has done her master's degree in psychology but her inclination was always towards doing her own business.

It was questioned that, How is the response when people meet you on the streets?

I will share one of my funny incident, I was shopping in a market and a family approached me and praised my food videos a lot. At the same time, the shopkeeper was listening and he sold me a pair of shoes which was worth of Rs500 at cost of   Rs1500. But I do love the fact that people have started recognizing me.

How do you generate a location to hop and dig out the best food item?

Replying to it she said, sometimes it's random, sometimes I do a little research and plan it accordingly. Suppose I am visiting a new city so I try to cover their traditional and exotic food which will be new to people.

Following trending things all time doesn't bring you to focus right, it was asked, what inspired you?

She said my inspiration has always been my father. I wanted him to be proud of me being his daughter. Either I wanted to do something big or nothing. I didn’t want to be average or in between. So food blogging gave me the passion and I just went into the flow.

At time of lockdown during Covid-19 pandemic, cooking was at a high craze, and Chahat also joined the race and became a lockdown cook!

How did you start?

She said it all started as we weren’t able to go out and explore. So the one-day mum made Idli Sambar and the Idli got finished. Late night, I made Idli in a mug super quick and I shared the idea and it went viral. So I took it up as a challenge to explore and innovate food within my kitchen.

It was asked, what makes you go different with your content?

She says I started uploading videos. I didn't use a script and gave it personalization. I talked in Hindi in my videos like I talk in normal life. So that idea was liked by a lot of people and other bloggers too and they started following it too.

Chahat has traveled all across the different states. As asked what thing do you love the most?

She said, I love traveling but I couldn’t travel a lot as it was difficult due to the lockdown. But I visited a few places. I make sure I try their traditional food.
