IIM Lucknow's Manfest-Varchasva 2023

More than 30,000 people participated in the event!


Manfest-Varchasva, the annual business, cultural and sports fest of IIM Lucknow witnessed a great second day with amazing events and speaker sessions. The fest has more than 30,000 participants from around the country and the participants attend it with a great zeal.

 

The highlight of the day was the enriching leadership session by Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister for Civil Aviation & Steel, Government of India. It was an interactive session where students freely asked their questions on varied topics like nation development, career advancement and success. He stressed on the need to have the right motive to achieve success.

 

A panel discussion on “Enabling sellers in digital age” with marquee leaders took place. The panel included Mr. Nikhil Taneja -Head of Sales - EV, TVS motors, Mr. Nilesh Jain - Regional Sales Manager, Bosch, Mr. Jayapradeep V - Ex Business Head, Royal Enfield, Mr. Anand Kumar N -Vice President - Appliances, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited, Mr. Jawahar Kanjilal - Founder & CEO, Streamz. The panel gave interesting insights on how marketing has shaped in digital age. It was an enriching session for the participants.

 

The Model United Nations saw participation from more than 150 students. Lok Sabha and WHO were the two committees that saw great interaction and discussion on important topics.

The participants in Lok Sabha Committee discussed on “Government's response to the Covid-19 pandemic and future path for the recurring fears”. The agenda for World Health Organisation was “Medical Services in conflict zones”.

The participants displayed amazing critical thinking and debating skills, and set a benchmark for extensive discussions.

 

Rohan, the spoken poetry competition saw participation from more than 100 students out of which 15 were selected for finals. The finalists presented their poetry today on various topics ranging from love and friendship to humour and tragedy. This event was judged by Nayab Midha, a renowned poet and spoken-word artist.

 

Duex Danza, the freestyle duet dance competition had more than 10 teams from various colleges competing for the top spot. The event saw mesmerising performances that left the audience awestruck. The event was judged by Kunal More and Peeyush Patil, who represented India in International Dance Festival, South Korea 2022!

 

The Bollywood Dance Workshop provided the perfect opportunity for over 100 participants to groove on and learn some new skills. It was a fun frolic workshop with Savio Barnes of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Fame.

 

JashN, the fashion parade competition witnessed amazing participation where participants turned up the glamour quotient and brought out vibrant costumes and styling accessories. The event was judged by Sana Dua, the first runner up at Femina Miss India 2017.

 

To celebrate the vision of remarkable women leaders in business, Women Leadership Conclave was organised. The leaders shared their experiences, exchange ideas and perspectives on how to empower and advance women in the workplace. The panel had eminent members like Ms. Madhura DasGupta Sinha- Founder & CEO, Aspire For Her, Ms. Simran Jindal - Executive Partner, IBM Consulting, Ms. Sharda Agarwal, Co-founder of Sepalika and Ms. Smita Ram-  Co-founder & CEO of Rang De.

 

Digital Marketing Workshop was conducted by Edu-Vitae Services and it helped the participants gauge the strategies to build efficient brand campaigns and the secrets behind successful marketing strategies. It gave a comprehensive understanding of the digital landscape and the various tools that are used to reach and engage with customers effectively.

 

All in all, the second day of Manfest-Varchasva was a roaring success and provided the participations with amazing business insights along with loads of fun with a plethora of events round the day.
