IIT Bombay to introduce a new programme in Healthcare Informatics


IIT Bombay is to set up a new academic program Healthcare Informatics the program is for BTech and Dual Degree students, with a possibility of offering it to MTech students in the future.
 
The idea of introducing a new program was taken in the last council meeting of IIT Bombay said by the head of the faculty, Subhasis Chaudhuri. IIT Bombay has announced this on the social media platform, by sharing a joyful message for the B.tech student who is introducing a new program on Healthcare Informatics from the forthcoming academic season. To introduce this subject this course has been offered to minors and IDDDP (Inter-Departmental Dual Degree Program) program for our B.Tech and DD students. More likely, IIT Bombay will make all the possible way in offering an M.tech degree in this field too, added by the Head of the faculty. In addition, IIT Bombay also wishes the best for their students, as introducing this they are hoping this will open a new door for them, in seeing up their startups in the recessed area.
 
Furthermore, IIT Bombay has taken part also in helping people by providing free ambulance service, by HelpNow ambulance service of IIT Bombay started by an alumni Venkatesh Amrutwar and two final-year students – Aditya Makkar and Shikar Agrawal.
 
Seeing the efforts of students, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ says HelpNow, an IIT Bombay initiative, is a private ambulance service that will be providing free rides for the poor, the police, and government employees.
