IMD issues rainfall warning for UP, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana & Other States

Rainfall with thunderstorms till July 23!


On Tuesday, The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a rainfall warning for several states including Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana.

According to the information, in a weather bulletin, the IMD said that fairly widespread to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is very likely over various states till July 23.


According to the state given by the met department it said, "Fairly widespread/widespread light/moderate rainfall and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Kerala, Karnataka and Lakshadweep during next five days.”


It has also said that fairly widespread to widespread light/moderate rainfall with heavy falls is very likely over West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next five days.


Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall is very likely over Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the next five days, the IMD said.


The capital city has been witnessing a rainfall scenario also leading to flooding like situation in the city. Also on Tuesday, gurgaon witnesses heavy rainfall witnessing water logging in several areas of the city which lead to traffic congestion and commuting issues to the local’s people.
