IMD predicts heavy rain in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu

As per the weather department, isolated heavy falls are likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka on October 5 and 6.


On Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rainfall for Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. It informed at 1pm that condition continue to remain favourable for the commencement of withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some parts of Northwest India during the next 24 hours.

Whereas many states are receiving heavy rainfall across the country, the national capital witnessed rainfall at the end of September leading to waterlogging in several areas. On the other hand, the state also witnessed transportation and commuting issues. Meanwhile, Jharkhand and few parts of West Bengal also witnessed heavy rain this month.

As per the weather department, isolated heavy falls are likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka on October 5 and 6. Adding more it said isolated very heavy falls are likely over south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and over the coastal area of Karnataka on 6th October.
