IMD Predicts Rainfall For Delhi, Uttar Pradesh And Other States

Rainfall to begin from January 5


The India meteorological department (IMD) predicted rainfall for the National capital Delhi and Uttar Pradesh and other states from January 5.


According to the prediction given by the India meteorological department (IMD), it said, the sky will remain cloudy with the possibility of light rain on January 5,6 and 7.

 

Whereas thundershowers are expected on January 8 and 9. Adding more, IMD in its daily forecast also mentioned that a fresh active western disturbance and its associated induced cyclonic circulation is likely to affect the northwest Indian region from January 3 (Today) to 7 with the possibility of isolated heavy rainfall over Jammu and Kashmir on January 4 and 5 and over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on January 5.

 

Further, it said, "scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall is likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, North Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh during January 5-7 and light isolated rainfall is likely over West Madhya Pradesh on January 5."


Several states are receiving cold weather conditions. According to the statement given by the forecast it said, The sky will remain cloudy with the possibility of light rain on January 5, 6, and 7, whereas thundershowers are expected on January 8 and 9.


Also, the National capital Delhi is witnessing severe air quality and weather conditions in the city. The city is layered with fog conditions and cold air Breeze.
