IMD predicts rainfall with thunderstorms in Delhi and Noida today

The national capital also received light showers during the morning hours.


On Friday, The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that parts of Delhi and Noida will receive moderate to heavy intensity rain. Meanwhile, the capital city also received light showers during the morning hours.

As per the IMD's tweet, “Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of Few places of Delhi and NCR (Gurugram, Greater Noida, Noida, Hapur) Hansi, Hissar, Gohana, Sohana, Manesar(Haryana) Deoband, Meerut, Modinagar, Saharanpur, Roorkee (U.P.) during next 2 hours," the IMD tweeted.

The national capital has been witnessing heavy rains. The capital city witnessed overflow of water as well as water logging issues which have become a common problem after heavy rainfall. Even cars and other vehicles were seen floating in water.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, Satyendar Jain said, “ beautification of roads and lakes will be done in the capital city.”
