Increased participation of women on Tikri border, fierce slogans against agricultural laws

On Saturday and Sunday, several batches of women from various states reached the Tiki border


A large number of women, children and youth arrived on the Tikri border on Sunday. Most of the women arrived here from many districts of Haryana. The women who came here said that we have never been in such a movement before, for the first time, they have come here to raise their voice against agricultural bills. Throughout the day, women sat with their children on the Tikri border. During this, they shouted slogans against agricultural bills. The women said that this bill is not in their favor, we women are coming out of the houses and opposing it.

Since Sunday morning, people have been coming here from many places. People were more visible than before. Women also participated. Meanwhile some women farmer leaders also addressed the farmers from the platform. Women farmer leaders said that a large number of women in the country also run their own families by farming and a lot of women in Punjab and Haryana are engaged in farming. History is witnessing that women have also contributed to independence. Similarly, now women have come to the field to get these bills back. Women too are now determined to strengthen this movement. Farmer leaders associated with the Kriti Kisan Union said that more women participation is increasing than before.

Now women along with male farmers are also standing strong in this fight. Separate arrangements have been made on the border for their eating and lodging. Farmers organizations are also making arrangements to ensure that women do not have any problem for defecation. At the same time, Kisan school has been opened for the destitute and poor children on the Tikri border. The youths, who are protesting at the protest site, are teaching the children around.

Farmers have been doing this work for the last one week. Gradually, the number of children studying here is also increasing. The Farmers Social Army has built a farmer’s school inside a tent.
