India-China Held 9 Rounds Of Talks To Disengage Troops: MEA

9 rounds of talks held between India-China to disengage troops.


S Jaishankar, the Minster at Ministry of External Affairs said on Saturday that the senior military officers of India and China have held nine rounds of talks on the process of disengagement of troops in the eastern Ladakh area and said that in the future also these deliberations will continue. Mr Jaishankar was addressing reporters in Vijayawada where he said ‘so far there is no visible expression of talks on the ground.’

The Minister said, “The disengagements talks, because it is a very complicated issue, because it depends on troops, you have to know the geography, which position what is happening, this is being done by the military commanders.”

S Jaishankar said that he along with Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister has held meetings with their counterparts of China last year and have agreed that in some parts there should be disengagement of troops.
