Igloo café for the first time in Kashmir
India opened its first igloo café in Gulmarg, Kashmir, the cafe is part of the Kolahoi Green Group of Hotels and Resorts. The resort is positioned at the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas which is at an altitude of 2650m. The igloo café is 22 feet wide and has a height of 12.5 feet from inside. The café at one given time can accommodate 16 people.
To complete the structure a team of 20 members worked in two shifts for 15 days. On each snow seat the sheep skin rugs have been placed and features small side tables made of ice and snow. The interiors of the café have been decorated with accent lighting and Kashmiri artworks.
