India's Sardar Patel (Motera) become the world's largest stadium

Not Australia's Melbourne Cricket Ground but India's Sardar Patel (Motera) will become the world's largest stadium in terms of spectator capacity. President will inaugurate the world's largest stadium.

24 February 2021 Wednesday is going to be recorded in the pages of cricket history. There will be a pink ball test between India and England at Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. With this match being played from February 24 to 28, the international match will start in this biggest stadium of the world.

No longer Australia's Melbourne Cricket Ground but India's Sardar Patel (Motera) will become the world's largest stadium in terms of spectator capacity. Located in Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, this stadium is equipped with new decorations and modern facilities. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be present here on February 24 when President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurates it.

This stadium, known as Motera, will now be known as Sardar Patel Stadium. This stadium, built on 63 acres, has a total seating capacity of 1 lakh 10 thousand people simultaneously. At present, Melbourne in Australia is known as the biggest stadium where 90 thousand people can sit together.

It has cost about 800 crore rupees to build this stadium equipped with all modern facilities. The stadium has 11 center pitches made of red and black clay. However, it is not known what color the pitch of this test match will show. BCCI secretary Jai Shah, who was always away from the glare of the camera, was speaking to the media for the first time on Tuesday as a tour guide.

Earlier, he also rotated the entire stadium to Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju. Rijiju said that it is a matter of pride not only for Gujarat but for the country that the world's largest cricket stadium is in India. The stadium has a seating capacity of 110,000 spectators but only 55,000 tickets were put on sale due to Corona. Most tickets have also been sold.
