India Toy Fair Inauguration by PM Modi

The exhibition will be held from February 27 to March 2, 2021


Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Toy Fair with a video conference. During the event, Prime Minister Modi teamed up with toymakers from various parts of the country and said, making toys is not just a business opportunity, "but a way to strengthen local culture Our relationship with toys is as old as civilization itself. And our temples testify to the rich tradition of toys in India," he said and further added, "Our temples are a testimony to the rich tradition of toys in India."

"We used to make toys that help a child grow," the Prime Minister said in an interview with the toymakers. "Indian toys have helped our children to adhere to our values," he said. He also showed how toys help children grow up to be scientific. "These toys help them understand concepts like exchanges and more," he said.

Prime Minister Modi also urged toymakers to create toys that are environmentally friendly and psychologically sound. He also urged toymakers to limit the use of plastics in toys and to make recyclable products.

The exhibition will be held from February 27 to March 2, 2021. It aims to bring together all stakeholders including consumers, retailers, students, teachers, designers, etc on a virtual platform to build sustainable connections and promote dialogue to develop the entire industry.

More than 1000 exhibitors from about 30 regions and union areas will showcase their products at an enabled e-commerce show. It will showcase traditional Indian toys as well as modern toys including electric toys, advanced toys, puzzles, and games.
