INDIAN AIR FORCE DAY: 8TH OCTOBER

88th ANNIVERSARY OF INDIAN AIR FORCE DAY.


Indian Air Force day is celebrating its 88th Anniversary. This year a newly inducted Rafale fighter Aircraft was featured and a grand parade cum investiture ceremony was held at Air Force Station in Hindon, Delhi.IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria with Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Mukund Naravane and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh were present on the 88th anniversary of IAF day.

On Air Force Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the "Brave Warriors" of IAF (Indian Air Force).According to the tweet, He said, "Many congratulations to all the brave warriors of IAF, you not only keep the skies of the country safe but also play a leading role towards humanity in times of any disaster".On September 10, 2020, five Rafale fighter jets were formally inducted into the Indian Air Force and that gave a major boost to India's  Air Power capability and also helped at the time when the country was engaged in a tense standoff with China in eastern Ladakh.

Rajnath Singh, Defence minister, said, "The country is proud of its men and women in blue and salutes them".The full dress rehearsal was held on Tuesday at Hindon Air Base, Delhi.According to an IAF official, he said that The Tejas LCA, Jaguar MIG-29,MIG-21, and Sukhoi-30 were the part of rehearsal on Tuesday.Army Chief Marshal, Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhaduria, said that "The recent induction of Rafale, Chinook and Apache Aircraft significantly enhanced our combat capability over adversaries ".
