Tragedy Strikes Over Intimacy Refusal

A 20-year-old man in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, was arrested on Wednesday (Dec 13) for allegedly murdering his live-in partner after she declined to engage in physical relations with him.

According to a statement from the news agency PTI, a police official mentioned that the victim and the accused had been residing together in a rented house in the city for the past few days. Their connection began through the social media platform Instagram.

Reportedly, the woman was fatally stabbed on December 7, and her body was discovered by the police two days later on December 9.

Abhinay Vishwakarma, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, stated to reporters that the woman was murdered in the rented house located in the Raoji Bazaar area.

The identified suspect is Praveen Singh Dhakad (24), hailing from Guna district, according to the police.

Officials reported that the accused allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck with a pair of scissors after she declined to engage in physical relations with him.

Vishwakarma stated that the woman began bleeding and succumbed to her injuries on the spot. The police officer mentioned that the accused fled the crime scene, securing the house from outside and also took away her mobile phone.

Subsequently, the police successfully tracked and apprehended the suspect.
