The prime minister of India Narendra Modi addressing the people about the development in infrastructure by the government in uttrakhand to generate the job opportunities and make life easier for the people living there.
As per the information received the prime minister information about the investment during the virtual meeting and inaugration of the 'Rozgar Mela' for Uttrakhand on 20 Feburary 2023.
During the inauguration PM Modi said that they will change the mindset that "Pahad ka paani", and "Pahad ki Jawaani"doesn't serve the residing in the hills by sending back the youth to their villages by providing them better job opportunities. So that they will stay with their family.
He further added that they will work to improve the road facility and the digital connectivity for those people who migrated from Uttrakhand to urban centre that also create opportunities in the domestic tourism sector.
The concept of Rozgar Mela was launched in 22 October last year to provide 10 lakhs jobs done by the central ministries and the department’s agencies such as UPSC, SSC railway recruitment board and it already reached nearly 75,000 jobs recruitment in several states including Gujrat, Jammu and Kashmir, and Maharashtra.
