Resumption comes after a two long year gap!

Covid-19 cases have shown a deadly impact all across the country.  The surge in the cases of Covid-19 and other hotbed counties has led towards the closure of public Transportation.

After a two-year gap, the international flights are coming back to a normal schedule. The flight service will begin on March 27.

According to the statement given by the civil aviation Ministry, "After having recognized the increased vaccination coverage across the globe and in consultation with the stakeholders, the Government of India has decided to resume scheduled commercial international passenger services to/from India from 27.03.2022, i.e. start of Summer Schedule 2022," read a statement from the Civil Aviation Ministry.

Further, the Aviation Ministry said, the international operations, will have to follow the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare guidelines for international travel. It also stated that all travellers coming to India should either have a full-vaccination certificate or a negative RT-PCR report (test conducted 72 hours before boarding).

According to the tweet by, Union aviation minister J M Scindia Tweeted Tuesday: “After deliberation with stakeholders and keeping in view the decline in Covid cases, we have decided to resume international travel from March 27 (start of summer schedule). Air Bubble arrangements will also stand revoked thereafter.”

Also, Special international flights have been operating between India and 37 countries since July 2020 under this arrangement. The Bubble arrangement hurt airlines' operations and their profitability.

After the first suspension in March 2020, which was valid for a month, the government extended the ban every month. An earlier plan to resume flights from December 15, 2021, was shelved by the government following the emergence of the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
