The first IPL qualifier between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians ended with victory for Mumbai Indians. Quinton de Kock also gathered 40 runs off 25 balls. Hardik Pandya developed the maximum run rate by hitting 37 balls off 14 balls. Shreyas Iyer, Delhi's Skipper was quite disappointed with the outcome and strategy they embarked on and promised to make a giant comeback in the second qualifier.

Mumbai's Skipper Rohit Sharma said, "This night was perfect for us. We delivered best of the season. I lost my wicket earlier but accelerated later. Boys played well. Bumrah and Boult gave a good start to second innings. Ishan and Yadav played amazing as expected."
