Is it possible to buy land on moon?

Let's know about this man who bought land on moon

After a successful landing of Chandrayaan 3 on 23rd August, Jammu resident Rupesh Masson (49), a businessman and educator, purchased land on the moon on August 25.

UCMAS's regional director for Jammu and Kashmir and Leh, Masson, claims to have purchased property at "Luna Earth’s Moon, Tract 55-Parcel 10772 known as Lacus Felicitatis (Lake of Happiness)."

The land was certified on August 25 and he bought it through The Lunar Registry in New York City, according to Masson.

The idea of living on the moon is a reflection of our desire to explore the universe, which is a reflection of our need to discover a deeper sense of purpose within ourselves, he added.

According to him, a plot on the moon is either a cheap psychological escape route for those dealing with climate change or a sign of hope for the future.

This kind of purchase "satisfies a need for some sense of some degree of preparedness for a different future by forming a tangible connection with a different future," he said.

He claimed that over 675 famous people, including three past US presidents, owned land on extraterrestrial planets.
