Israel-Hamas Conflict Escalates

Security Alert in Delhi...

According to the police, a security alert has been issued in New Delhi due to the escalating conflict between Israeli security forces and the Palestinian group Hamas, as concerns arise about potential protests in the national capital.

Delhi Police will have a strong presence during Friday prayers, and they've increased security at Jewish religious places and the Israeli Embassy.

This action follows the lead of several countries, such as the US, UK, France, and Germany, which have increased security measures around potential Jewish targets and pro-Palestinian protesters in response to the escalating violence in Israel.

In response to the violent attack by Hamas on Israel, France has issued a ban on all pro-Palestinian demonstrations for the sake of public order. However, critics of the ban argue that it restricts freedom of speech and assembly.

The conflict has resulted in a significant loss of life, with more than 1,500 people killed in Gaza following Israel's response to a surprise land-sea-air attack by Hamas, which tragically claimed the lives of 1,300 Israelis. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a "state of war" and pledged to reduce Gaza to rubble as the Hamas onslaught began. The situation remains highly volatile and deeply concerning.

Indian citizens stranded in Israel due to the ongoing conflict were successfully evacuated on the inaugural flight of Operation Ajay, which arrived in New Delhi today.
