It will launch from Sriharikota!
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will undertake the second developmental flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) on Friday, 9 February.
The launch will take place at 9:18 am from Sriharikota tomorrow.
The SSLV-D2 will initially put three satellites into a 450 km circular orbit in 15-minutes, according to Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
ISRO's EOS-07, US-based firm Antaris' Janus-1 and Chennai-based space startup SpaceKidz's AzaadiSAT-2 are the three satellites.
AzaadiSAT-2 is an 8.7 kg satellite, which has been developed by 750 girl students from across the nation who were guided by Space Kidz India.
SSLV will launch 500 kg satellites to low earth orbits on a 'launch-on-demand' basis. It provides low-cost access to space, offers low turn-around time and flexibility in accommodating multiple satellites.
The launch vehicle is configured with three solid propulsion stages and a velocity terminal module. It is 34 metres tall, 2 metres diameter vehicle having a lift-off mass of 120 tonnes.
The first test flight of SSLV had ended in partial failure on August 9 last year, as the rocket failed to inject its satellite payload in their intended orbits.
